History Arch Stanton
Arch Stanton in all their many masterful rock adventures of the recent past have taken a step back to brew their craft into a perfect gravity and flavor.
What started in one form as a highschool garage... or in their case a "living room" band, finds itself now in a steady, and some might say obsessive, pursuit of musical expression. In 2000 Arch's sophmore self-titled album launched them into the Minneapolis scene as a pack of kids sporting suits and shaggy heads, strumming and screaming manic powerpop anthems.
Now time passes... and those same kids can't seem to shake that wonderful curse. In 2001-2004 Arch recorded many "demos" ... alongside the sci-fi monster-like, robotic-playground, electronic meanderings, unofficially entitled "Tango Lab".
In 2007, Arch quietly released an EP "Highland & Marine". After an excursion from their home base in Minneapolis to the warm Santa Monica sun, the boys have come back with an eclectic mix of rock, powerpop, electronic-R&B-funk, dreamstrumental, and yes even an arch-style hymn...
As of 2010, the boys just completed their third full-length album, with a planned official release in June of this year. The title and album/track info is still yet to be announced. Be prepared for something special. After a year in the studio, Arch has come out, with what they say, is their "best to date"! Rumors of tap dancing and hammer dulicmers have surfaced, which apparently will be heard on this new album.
Arch Stanton is also a Philadelphia based straight-edge hardcore band. They released a demo in 2007 consiting of the tracks 1. Arch Stanton 2. Tuco 3. Fools, Wrap It Up
