Biography 土屋アンナ

土屋アンナ (Anna Tsuchiya), born March 11, 1984, is a Japanese singer, songwriter, model, and actress. She was born in Tokyo to an American father of Polish-Irish descent and Japanese mother.

In late 2002, Tsuchiya joined with ex-Oblivion Dust member Kaz Iwaike to form Spin Aqua. They released three singles, one album, and one video collection before Anna announced in November 2003 that she was pregnant (at age 19) by husband Joshua (another half-Japanese model) and was leaving the band. In February 2004, Anna gave birth to a baby boy. It was announced in early July of 2006 that Anna and Joshua divorced. Tsuchiya gained custody over their child.

Anna was quiet musically until 2005, when she announced plans to go solo for the first time. On August 24, 2005 she released her first independent mini-album, Taste My Beat under AVEX's sub-label, Mad Pray Records. She released a single called SLAP THAT NAUGHTY BODY/MY FATE on March 23, 2006. She also released her first remix album, Taste My xxxremixxxxxxx!!!!!!!! Beat Life! on the same day. Her solo music style consists of a loud J-rock style, sometimes so loud that her voice seems to be consumed by the background music. Most of her songs consist of either completely English or mixed English and Japanese lyrics.
