History Batt

Batt is a predominantly electronic band from Chicago, Il, and was formed in 1987. The band was founded by Peter Skeffington, originally as a solo project to his band, MR. DNA and THE SPUDBOY.

The band has had a variety of lineups over the years, with the only constant member being Skeffington. Batt began releasing homemade "white label" tapes in early 1988, and though the band almost signed a contract with Sony in 1992, Batt has remained unsigned to this day. Batt began a long period of inactivity in 1996, but reappeared in 2007 with plans for a new album. Batts' musical style has varied greatly over the years, being described as electro-pop, industrial, alternative, darkwave, and gothic.
