Biography 1/2
A one-man manifesto, concentrating on visuals and minimal electronic pop music
1/2 started making noises during late 90s, at first as Mekanismo Va Morir and shortly after that, being part of the duo [artist[Narrow[/artist].
Narrow also started their own home-label - Aside Thorns, producing a number of cassettes, CD-Rs and occasional postcards. Besides their own, material by other groups - Raped Miss Mountain and Bazaar, including posthumously released material by Mekanismo Va Morir and KRD - has also been promoted.
In 2009, the duo concluded their story - while putting out their final mini album, "Nonsense Of Adventure", accompanied by the single release of "Top Of The Pops", a respectful German label (T)reue Um (T)reue released an exclusive LP of Narrow's selected earlier material, titled "From DIY With Love" (2010).
During this period, 1/2 was born (the numeral phrase is open for various definitions, referring to the fact 'one half' is the result of Narrow ceasing their operation). Two singles and two 'Popular Adaptations' were produced so far - on a new home-label, called 0.5 - continuing the DIY practice of hand-made material. A remix for Electric Tremor's protegés Bodystyler has also been produced, released as part of their 'Trouble EP' CD/MC set. Hopefully, more to follow soon.
