Biography

Ernestine 'Tiny' Davis was a trumpete player and vocalist, espescially popular during the 1940s. She was part of the 'International Sweethearts of Rhythm', an all-women-band who played during and shortly after the Second World War at the greatest and popular theatres in both the US and Europe. They even did shows in the deepest South of America, though they were musicians of different skin colour playing and living together. Allthough people tried to convince her in leaving the band ( Louis Armstrong wanted her to play with him, as an example), she stayed with the girls as long as the band existed.

Tiny Davis was born in 1909 and died in 1994.
