In 1999, Woody Allen made the mockumentary film "Sweet and Lowdown" about fictional Gypsy Jazz guitarist, Emmet Ray. Emmet was notable for being the world's second best guitarist of his era; second only to Django Reinhardt. The soudtrack, billed to Dick Hyman, is built primarily on the strengths of current Gypsy Jazz guitarist Howard Alden. Also featured on the soundtrack are several notables, including Bucky Pizzarelli.
