Gavino Murgia

Gavino Murgia was born in Nuoro (Sardinia, Italy). He started to study music and alto saxophone since he was fourteen years old, as self taught. Soon he started an intense musical activity playing whit several light music bands and also in various theatrical contexts. The kind of music on which above all he focused his attention is jazz.

He has played with many bands in the most important italian and international Jazz festival; Poland, Austria, Spanish, Finland, Switzerland, Germany, France, Russia, South Africa, Cuba, USA.
