History Träd, gräs och stenar

Träd, Gräs och Stenar ("Trees, Grass and Stones") is a Swedish psychedelic rock band formed in 1969. The group was one of the front acts in the progressive music scene in Sweden.

They were from Sweden, they were pioneers of DIY culture, they jammed with force and purpose for 40 minutes back when “legendary” SF groups or German kraut rock bands were still struggling to get out of the upper single digits with dignity; they traveled with organic food they grew themselves, and cooked for everyone they played to.

The band Pärson Sound was formed during the summer of 1967, then consisting of guitarist Bo Anders Persson, Thomas Tidholm on vocals, saxophone and flute, Arne Ericsson on cello, Urban Yman on violin, Torbjörn Abelli on bass and Thomas Mera Gartz on drums. This constellation, which were playing an experimental brand of psychedelic rock never released any official records, although a collection of recordings from 1967 to 1968 were released as the double CD Pärson Sound in 2001. In August 1968 the band changed their name to International Harvester and later the same year their debut album Sov Gott Rose-Marie was released. In 1969 the name was shortened to Harvester, under which the album Hemåt was released.

In the summer of 1969 the band reformed, now as Träd, Gräs och Stenar, consisting of Bo Anders Persson, Torbjörn Abelli, Arne Ericsson and Thomas Mera Gartz. 1970 saw the release of their self-titled debut Träd, Gräs och Stenar, sometimes called "the Green Album", which included cover versions of Bob Dylan's "All Along the Watchtower" and the Rolling Stones' hit song "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction".
