History El Postre

El Postre (engl. "the dessert") is a german "Songs 4 Free" - Rap Metal band from Kamp-Lintfort near Duisburg in Germany.

History

El Postre were formed in 1997 by half spain and half german brothers Marcel and Andres de la Puente.

In 2004 El Postre signed a contract on independent label Mara Records. Two years later their first official album Das Fundament (engl. "The Basement") was released. Very first single should be the song Tief im Herzen (engl. "Deep In The Heart") - a duet with less popular female singer Rabea. After one further catchy single named Urlaubsreif (engl. "Ready For A Holiday") in 2008 the band decided to continue their work independently and away from a contact with a record label.

In spring 2008 the first self-produced seven-track-EP Malocher Mix Schacht 1 (engl. "Hard Workers' Mix Chamber 1") was released as a gratis download. Already in autumn 2008 a full new album called Meister-Werk (engl. "Masterpiece") has been offered for free download at official band website. In spring 2009 the sequel to Malocher Mix Schacht 1 was released simply called Malochermix Schacht 2 (engl. "Hard Workers' Mix Chamber 2").
