This archetypal California Ramblers band was based in New York City. One of the front men was Adrian Rollini, an accomplished musician even in his teens. He played with Bix Beiderbecke in the famous autumn 1927 sessions in New York. His throbbing bass saxophone can be heard driving the music along. The California Ramblers playes 1920's popular hits such as Five Foot Two (Eyes of Blue) and Butter and Egg Man.
Although the California Ramblers' heyday was a few short years, Rollini went on the enjoy a lengthy career as musician and band leader.
