Josep Thió

Josep Thió is a Catalan singer-songwriter, well-known for being the guitarist and composer with Catalan rock group Sopa de Cabra. After the dissolution of ]Sopa de Cabra in 2002, Thió began a solo career as a singer-songwriter, releasing Avui és Demà in 2004, 5000 Nits in 2006, and Els Teus Cels in 2008. All of his albums have been released by Musica Global.

Thió's solo career has seen him move away from the rock and roll of Sopa de Cabra, and into the realm of being a pop-troubadour, singing more heartfelt and intimate songs than before through the use of folk and acoustic guitar. Possibly one of the forefathers of Rock Català, Josep Thió has taken his ability to write popular, Catalan songs and carried it on in his own style.
