Alessandro Esseno

Coming from a classical music background (academic piano and composition studies at the Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome), pianist and composer Alessandro Esseno has established himself as a versatile and versatile musician, capable of moving with absolute ease between electronic experimentation and post-minimalist pieces, reinventing himself album after album without distinguishing between genres such as crossover, contemporary, post-modern rock, and jazz-type nomenclature, with results that always deliver a powerful emotional impact. With a vast body of work (approximately three thousand songs), Esseno boasts a sizable discography that began with his debut album in 1990, preceded by important collaborations, including those with the American group Toto, Zebra Crossing, Banco del Mutuo Soccorso, and Indaco, a band he formed in the 1980s. Not to mention his catalog of hundreds of songs composed for film and television, many of which were produced for RAI, for highly prestigious programs such as Giovanni Minoli's "La Storia siamo noi." He has received important recognition from institutions such as: the Commendation from the Chamber of Deputies and the Golden Lion in Venice for lifetime achievement, both received in 2017, and a Special Recognition of Merit from the Senate of the Republic in 2025 for his thirty-year career as a composer and pianist.
