Madvillain

Madvillain was an American hip-hop duo composed of MCs and producers MF DOOM and Madlib. The group garnered significant critical acclaim for their debut album, Madvillainy, which was praised for its unconventional approach. Characterized by short songs, abstract lyrics, and minimal choruses, their distinctive sound was largely unsuited for commercial radio, a quality that became a defining element of their underground identity.

In 2006, Madvillain contributed a new song and a live performance to the DVD/CD compilation Chrome Children, a collaboration between Stones Throw Records and Adult Swim. Following this, Kidrobot announced the production of a Madvillain action figure.
