Morat is a Colombian band formed in Bogotá, comprising Juan Pablo Isaza (guitars and vocals), Juan Pablo Villamil (banjo and vocals), and brothers Simón Vargas (bass and choruses) and Martín Vargas (percussion and choirs). The band's lineup was previously completed by drummer Alejandro Posada until late 2016, when he was replaced by Martín Vargas.

The band gained international recognition in 2015 with the release of their single "Mi Nuevo Vicio." A collaboration with Paulina Rubio, the song earned Morat a digital platinum record, topped digital sales charts in Spain, and reached number 1 in airplay in Mexico. During the same period, they released "Cómo Te Atreves" (initially titled "How Much It Hurts Me" with production by Mauricio Rengifo, also known as Dandee), which was included in the EP "Grabado en Madera." "Cómo Te Atreves" achieved number 1 on iTunes and propelled their fame in Spain.
