Men I Trust is an independent indie-pop band from Montreal, Quebec, consisting of Dragos Ciedreanu, Jessy Caron, Emmanuelle Proulx, Mathieu Little-Boyer, and Alexis Breton-Dufour. Founded in 2014, the group has gained international acclaim for their distinctive blend of dream pop, soft disco, and jazz-influenced rhythms. Their music is characterized by smooth arrangements, calm melodies, and a relaxed tempo designed to be both soothing and rhythmically engaging.
The foundation of the band dates back to the mid-2000s when Dragos Ciedreanu and Jessy Caron were high school classmates. Dragos brought a background in classical piano, while Jessy was an accomplished guitarist with roots in metal and jazz. After losing touch for several years, the two reconnected in 2012 at Laval University’s LARC studio. At the time, Dragos was completing a master’s degree in audio post-production and Jessy was finishing his bachelor’s degree in jazz guitar.
