Jerome Allen (born November 18, 1989), professionally known as Rome Streetz, is an American rapper hailing from Queens, New York. He is currently signed to Griselda Records.
Born in London to Jamaican parents, Allen moved to Queens as an infant. He later returned to London during his teenage years. His formative years were influenced by his reading of Donald Goines.
Allen's childhood nickname, "Rome Streetz," originated from his frequent roaming of intercity New York.
In 2021, Allen joined Westside Gunn's Griselda Records. His debut album with the label, and his most recognized work to date, KISS THE RING, was released in 2022. The album was featured on Rolling Stone's list of the best rap albums of 2022, ranking at number 23, and received a rating of 7.3 from Pitchfork.
Rome Streetz's musical style is frequently characterized as "gritty" and "violent," blending hardcore hip-hop with boom bap elements. His sound also incorporates influences from grime, reflecting his British origins.
