3 Chairs

3 Chairs is a collaborative project featuring four influential Detroit-based artists: Kenny Dixon Jr., Marcellus Pittman, Rick Wilhite, and Theo Parrish. Often hailed as the "roots of Detroit," their work is deeply embedded in the city's distinctive minimal techno and house music soundscapes.

Each member of 3 Chairs has carved out a significant career in electronic music, contributing to the evolution of the Detroit sound. Kenny Dixon Jr., also known as Moodymann, is renowned for his raw, sample-heavy productions. Marcellus Pittman is celebrated for his deep, percussive grooves. Rick Wilhite is a foundational figure in Detroit's music scene, known for his soulful and eclectic DJ sets. Theo Parrish is a globally respected producer and DJ, recognized for his experimental approach and distinctive vinyl-only sets.
