Ville Leinonen is a Finnish singer-songwriter born in Savonlinna in 1975. His musical journey began with the independent release of his debut solo album, "Raastinlauluja," in 1997, initially as a cassette. The album was later reissued on CD in 2002 by Fonal Records. Leinonen continued his solo career with the releases of "Suudelmitar" in 2004 and "Hei!" in 2007, both distributed by Poko Rekords.

From 2000 to 2006, Leinonen was also the frontman for the rock band Valumo. During their eight-year tenure, Poko Rekords released four studio albums, two live albums, and a double compilation CD for the group. Valumo's sound was a distinctive blend, drawing inspiration from Finnish rautalanka and tango, the early Alice Cooper Band, Spiders from Mars, and 1970s French alternative pop. The band, formed in 1998, toured extensively across Finland before disbanding.
