Hailing from Southfield, Michigan, I Prevail emerged onto the metalcore scene in 2013. The band quickly garnered attention with their debut EP, Heart vs Mind, released in 2014. Their breakthrough moment arrived later that same year with a viral cover of Taylor Swift's "Blank Space," a rendition that achieved platinum certification in the United States and introduced their aggressive sound to a wider audience.
Since their initial EP, I Prevail has released three full-length studio albums, each marking a significant step in their career. Their 2016 album, Lifelines, debuted at #15 on the Billboard 200 chart. This was followed by Trauma in 2019, which proved to be their most critically and commercially successful release to date. Trauma earned the band a Grammy nomination for Best Rock Album, and the album's lead single, "Bow Down," received a nomination for Best Metal Performance.
