Jonas Blue, born Guy James Robin on August 2, 1989, is a London-based DJ, songwriter, and record producer who has become a defining figure in contemporary dance-pop. His musical journey began in the vibrant London club scene, where he developed a style that bridges the gap between underground house rhythms and radio-friendly melodies.
Blue achieved global stardom in late 2015 with his debut single, a tropical house cover of Tracy Chapman's 1988 classic "Fast Car." Featuring the vocals of Dakota, the track surpassed the chart performance of the original in many territories, reaching number two on the UK Singles Chart and earning multi-platinum certifications worldwide. This breakthrough established his signature sound: a blend of melodic house, polished pop production, and emotive songwriting.
