Carlos Roberto Baute Jiménez, known professionally as Carlos Baute, is a prominent Venezuelan singer, songwriter, and television personality. Born on March 8, 1974, in Caracas, Baute possesses a diverse heritage with Spanish, Cuban, and Venezuelan roots. His musical style is primarily rooted in Latin pop, though he frequently incorporates elements of bachata and romantic ballads into his repertoire.

Baute’s journey in the entertainment industry began at the age of 13 when he joined the boy band Los Chamos. The group released the album Con un poco de Amor, providing him with early exposure to the Latin music scene. In 1994, he transitioned to a solo career with his debut album, Orígenes I. During this period, he also worked as a model and ventured into acting, appearing as Pedro José in the 1997 Venezuelan telenovela Destino de Mujer.
